Ilyashev & Partners Initiates the Anti-Dumping Investigation into the Imports to Ukraine of Matches from the Republic of India and Pakistan

The team of international trade practice of Ilyashev & Partners, headed by partner Olena Omelchenko, which represents the interests of Ukrainian Match Factory LLC, initiated the anti-dumping investigation into the imports to Ukraine of matches originating from the Republic of India and Pakistan.

Following the review of the complaint filed by the Ukrainian producer, by its Decision No. AD-559/2024/441-01 dated 12 April 2024, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade initiated an anti-dumping investigation into the imports to Ukraine of goods from the Republic of India and Pakistan, having the following description: matches for household use classified under UCGFEA (Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity) code 3605 00 00 00.

As a result of conducting the above anti-dumping investigation, an anti-dumping duty may be imposed on import of matches from the Republic of India and Pakistan for the purpose of ensuring fair competition and protecting Ukrainian manufacturer from dumped imports. The anti-dumping investigation may take up to 12 months to complete.

Founded in 1995, Ukrainian Match Factory is located in the Rivne region. The factory’s capacity is 630 million matchboxes per year. Its products are delivered to all regions of Ukraine and abroad.
