Baker McKenzie advises Kingspan Group on state-of-the-art EUR 280 million building technology manufacturing campus in Ukraine
Baker McKenzie’s Kyiv office acted as legal counsel to Kingspan Group, a global leader in high-performance insulation and building envelopes, in the preconstruction phases of its first ground-breaking EUR 280 million building technology manufacturing campus near Lviv, Ukraine.
Kingspan’s investment in this new facility marks the first major commitment by a Western business since the full-scale invasion began. The new campus is expected to create over 700 jobs and will produce advanced insulation, energy-efficient building materials, and district heating solutions, all of which will contribute significantly to Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts.
The Baker McKenzie Ukraine team that worked on this project was led by real estate partner Lina Nemchenko and senior associate Elmaz Abkhairova, with significant input from associates Andrii Levchenko and Georgy Fizer. Baker McKenzie lawyers from the corporate, tax, and banking and finance practice groups were also involved.
